While I don’t proclaim to have all kinds of mail coming in on a daily basis, we do get some sort of bill or notice in our mail box at least a couple of times a week. As much as I don’t like that type of mail, I can’t help but wonder if something fishy is going on since the only mail we’ve gotten in the last week or so has been the junk mail fliers and advertisements!
We’ve had problems with the mail here a few times since we moved in back in October. Shortly after we moved I was expecting a box with some YUMMY mustards that didn’t come several days after I knew it had been mailed. Only after talking to the post office did I find that the package had actually been sitting in our normal mail carriers vehicle for a couple of days by “accident”.
Then we had a period of time where the mail simply wasn’t coming at all. No real mail or junk mail fliers. After talking to the post office that time we discovered that we were actually having a substitute mail person and they had been receiving almost constant complaints about them.
But I just have this weird feeling that either someone is grabbing my mail before I can get out to the box to get it. I’ve been trying to figure out what I can do to keep a better eye on the mail box, but there are a ton of trees between the house and where it sits, so I can’t sit at the window and watch for the mail. HMMMMMM…..I wonder if ademco makes a security system that would allow me to put a camera outside near the mailbox that I could monitor from in the house? I just know that it’s getting frustrating and I’m on the verge of just getting a post office box for my mail!
