The majority of the things that I’d like to change in the new house are simple cosmetic changes. Things like painting, new window treatments and area rugs. The next painting project is the small bathroom off the family room. It’s currently painted a green color that is somewhere in the middle of lime green and pea green, and I really don’t like it! It also has a medicine cabinet placed oddly beside the sink making it very inconvenient for my husband to shave, so I’m thinking one of those wall mounted makeup mirrors might be just the thing to make that bathroom a little more workable!

Although you won’t find me doing too much complaining about living in the country, there is one thing that definitely needs to be improved! My husband and I have cellular phones from 2 different carriers and neither one of us can get service on our cellular phones when we’re in the house. For me, it’s not that big of a deal because I really don’t get that many calls on my cell phone, but 99% of my husband’s work related calls are done through his cell phone. We’ve decided that we’re going to look into a cell phone booster for the house, from what we here, it just might do the trick!

You know, you’d think if a person could get an extra hour of sleep, they would.  But not my family…LOL!  I hope you remembered to set your clocks back last night and that you got your extra hour of sleep!

I actually don’t mind that I’m up this early this morning.  I have a TON of things to do today.  My daughters “boyfriend” is coming over this afternoon to hang out and have dinner with us.  Before he gets here I want to get things cleaned up a bit more and I also want to get a big batch of Chocolate Chip cookies made!  Then for dinner I’m making homemade enchiladas.  Other than that the plans for today are to spend time with the hubby and make sure he has all his stuff ready and packed for the week.  And then, of course, there’s football.  The Bengals play the Bills today and the Lions play Denver.  Both games are at 1:00 on CBS, so my game won’t be televised.

I’m not sure if I told you or not, but his working out of town is going to be a semi permanent thing and will probably last through at least March.  His boss said if he needs a week off once in a while that it’s not a problem and to just let him know.  He’s torn about the job assignment.  On one hand, the money is great, it’s a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.  But he doesn’t like being away from home.  He did say, however, that it was very touching when he got home and our son gave him a hug and said “I missed you dad, welcome home”.  They don’t have the best of relationships, so I can  understand why that meant so much to him!

So, that’s the agenda for today.  Hopefully the day goes SLOW!
