Good morning everyone! I sure hope your week went well! Things in my neck of the wood are going well this morning. The sun is starting to come out after a grey morning and the temp is supposed to be near 50 today, which, in my book, is cause for celebration.
Sorry I wasn’t around much this week, it was one of those weeks that you just wanted to get through and have it over with. I’m not going to go into alot of detail simply because I don’t want to relive it, but I will highlight a few spots. Tuesday morning we had a school delay because we got a few inches of snow over night. Hubby went into work very early since his job this time of year involves snow removal. Around 7:00 am the brakes blew out on his plow truck, so he had to get them fixed. Shortly after leaving where he had them fixed at he went to turn into one of the companies properties to do snow removal and was bit broadside in the passengers side of the truck. His truck is a 4 door truck and the accident made both doors completely unusable, but fortunately the truck was still drivable. They were very fortunate in the fact that no one was hurt! The police officer that came to the accident found my hubby at fault for the accident and he got the ticket. Fortunately it was a very nice officer who, even though he knew my hubby was “technically” at fault, felt the other driver should have been paying attention since hubby is an “emergency” vehicle, so the ticket he wrote was a simple lane violation which will put no points on his license. The only “bad” think about it is that it’s a $93 dollar ticket, but it could have been MUCH worse.
I also had problems with my son and his school on Tuesday which led to my ultimately having to pull my son out of the school and put him into a school for “difficult” children. It was a heart wrenching decision, but one that we feel is best, not only for our son, but for the entire family unit as well. He has some issues that we have to get taken care of ASAP before he ends up being another adolescent statistic. It’s gut wrenching to see your child struggle and know that there is no immediate fix for it! We’re taking many steps and getting him the necessary help, but it’s frustrating when people expect immediate results. I’m sure this all is going to turn out for the best though!
I have my 2 niece’s today. My sister had a meeting she needed to go to and her hubby is sick, so she asked me if I’d mind watching the girls, which I don’t! They have alot of fun when they’re here and I don’t get to spend that much time with them. The littlest one gets bored very easily though, so everyone is busy keeping her entertained.
I also moved my computer upstairs this morning. I had hubby’s laptop up here, but I just simply didn’t like it, so I decided that I was going to move my computer up here and let him have my desk downstairs for his laptop. I kind of like it, it’s much quieter up here, and the view out the windows beside my “desk” is awesome. I actually have the windows open….LOL! I can see the kids when/if they play out in the back yard very good room here and I’ll also be able to hear them if they start any of their shenanigans….LOL!
OK, I really need to get busy, but I thought I should update you since I wasn’t here much this week. I’ll get more time later today or tomorrow after I get some things caught up around here!
